It’s been both an eventful and a calm last few days. The 29th was our last day in Venice! We spent the day wandering through the town… and we ended up walking all the way from one side of the island to the other. But to fuel our morning, we needed on last Italian treat. I got another affogato (with chocolate ice cream, whipped cream, and coffee) while Liam got some breakfast ice cream. Morning ice cream treats We found some lovely areas of Venice where locals were living, away from the crowds. I was quite surprised by the amount of green space in the city! Venetian park Always a beautiful corner For lunch, we got some incredible sandwiches from L’Bacaro de’ Bischeri. This cute little place is tucked away in a small alley close to the Rialto Bridge and oh my the food was incredible. Both our sandwiches had one delicious ingredient in common, caramelized onions!
