Ice cream cake

 


Our chill vacation days in Poland continue! 

We left Supraśl a few days ago to come back to Sopot. Just before leaving we had a beautiful family walk at the Silvarium Forest Garden. This is a meadow full of cool rocks, bridges, and little lakes.

The day after we got back was August 13th… my birthday! I got to spend the beautiful sunny day with my mom, grandma, and Liam. 

First, Liam and I went for a birthday walk, stopping for a birthday coffee. We walked along the waterfront path through the forest, and then came back along the beach.

Walking back along the beach we saw a beautiful fluffy bundle of joy… a 10-week old cockapoo! I’m absolutely in love and I wanted to take him home. 

I want to take him home!!!

For birthday dinner, we went to Falo, a restaurant just off the beach. First, I had herring with tomatoes on bread, and for my main course I tried catfish! Everything was very good :)

Since it’s me and I love walking, after dessert Liam and I went out again to see the sunset on the beach.

Now we’re back at the lake cabin, enjoying the peace and quiet before we leave the EU.

Airplane food

Hello all :) Spending the next four months away from home I thought I would try to keep a blog, to share experiences with loved ones and to drop my travel thoughts! But we’ll see how well this blog actually keeps up in the grand scheme of things and in the businesses of travel. We started our journey in Victoria, ferried over to Vancouver, and caught our flight out of YVR to London! Packed in just (large) backpacks I feel like a true adventurer; one backpack on the back, one on the front, and a Canadian flag pinned to everything. So what’s the idea for this blog? Well I’m thinking a little travel, a little culture, and of course, a LOT of food!  But perhaps not airplane food… although I usually end up liking it a lot more than I expected to!

Ginger and White’s Turkish Eggs

 Day one in London was spent wandering around Hampstead Heath, The Regent’s Park, and everywhere in between! We started our day at 12pm (after catching up on 14 hours of sleep) by walking to Hampstead Heath. This park was so green and so big! I was shocked at the sheer size of the park. It was a beautiful sunny day and tons of people were out to enjoy the weekend.  Parliament Hill Viewpoint We came across the Hill Garden and Pergola, a really beautiful structure in Hampstead Heath. With its cool architecture and blooming flowers, it felt like we were on the set of Bridgerton. By this time we’d gotten quite hungry so we made our way to Ginger & White  for lunch. Let me say it was delicious! For drinks I had an iced beetroot oat latte which was nice and refreshing, and very flavourful.
